Creative and Contemplative Somatics are the ways that Beverley integrates and shares almost 40 years of practice and teaching of the anatomy, psychology, and philosophy of embodiment.
Beverley is a self-confessed life-long learner, engaged in exploring the interconnectedness of body, mind, and movement. Professionally, Beverley is a registered yoga teacher, somatic movement educator and therapist, as well as a contributing author to a number of collections of essays on themes of somatics and yoga.
Deeply influenced by the work of Linda Hartley, Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Amy Matthews, and Donna Farhi, Beverley is also inspired by other movement modalities including the Feldenkrais® approach to intelligent movement, Bartenieff Fundamentals, and the discipline of Authentic Movement, as well as the Active Imagination work of Jung.
