Let Kerala, this land of natural beauty, full of warmth, colour and vitality, hold you, whisper to you, sing to you. Be inspired by the abundance of tropical greenery, the coconut trees, the bird song, the colour of the women's saris, the sandy beach. Watching the sunsets over the Arabian sea, the possible sightings of dolphins and going for silent meditative walks on the beach is such a gift for the soul.
Mel has a background as a teacher, group worker and drama therapist and has woven a unique way of creating a rich tapestry of Reiki and Creativity workshops in the UK and internationally. She says "I feel in love with Kerala and am so delighted to be able to make this offering and I love to see and feel the power of creative expression when we are together in the spirit of Reiki".
Mel Hoffstead is a Reiki Master of 34 years honouring the Usui Shiki Ryoho tradition. Mel teaches and gives Reiki treatments, and sat for 10 years on the Reiki Council which is the leading body of Reiki.
Yoga United are delighted to welcome Mel Hoffstead back for a second year to join Yoga United in India for her retreat.
During the day you will have plenty of time for resting poolside, on the beach, playing in the stunning ocean, catching a tuk-tuk to the local sights and shops, revitalise with Ayurvedic treatments or enjoy your book on your veranda or under the palm trees. How you interpret 'retreat' is up to you.
The accommodation is an a beach/backwater resort with separate villas and beautiful sacred spaces for practice. The beach is a few steps across a quiet dusty road, wonderful for walking and playing, and the warm sea is perfect for swimming, sunbathing, relaxing and becoming one with the sunset! Ayurvedic massage on the doorstep and connection with local people, Once you've travelled to India, you may wish to add on some additional trips - In addition to the 8 day retreat to South India, we offer much more. As experienced retreat leaders with excellent knowledge of India, local contacts with trusted travel agents and venues, we can put together exciting and bespoke add ons for you. From trips to the amazing temples and sights of Tamil Nadu, trekking and wildlife adventures, to the Taj Mahal and Himalayas, Tell us what you're dreaming of and we can help you make it happen.
